PLOT SYNOPSIS
The television show begins. The broadcast is live.
Three very different celebrities have been invited to the event.
What no one imagines is that one of them is about to create a big scandal.

ANECDOTES AND OBSERVATIONS
The short film “Broken” was created during the international festival “The 48 Hour Film Project” (Punta del Este, in 2022).
This represented a significant challenge since it required writing, producing and editing the work in less than 48 hours.
“A whirlwind of an experience and incredibly enriching”, according to Israel Mirenda, who ultimately won the Best Director award.
DIRECTOR’S INTERVIEWS
Interview featured on the show “Basta de Cháchara” on Channel 5 (Uruguay).
This video was uploaded to Israel Mirenda’s account, where minor technical corrections were made.
The original video was published by Channel 5 itself. You can watch it: HERE.

FROM THE DIRECTOR
One of the best parts of this challenge was getting to work with such talented actors.
I asked Florencia Colucci (“The Silent House”) – right after a TV interview they were doing with her – if she was willing to face a challenge like this and she simply said yes.
That’s how we met.
Yamandú Cruz (“The Story of Artigas”), Pablo Dive and Diego Grachot received my message through a middleman, and they all assumed the risk.
Pablo Pipolo and Carlos Ramiro Pereyra were familiar faces I’d worked with before.
It’s necessary to keep in mind that everyone had to embody characters they had met just minutes before, within a story that I had just written hours earlier (during the night).
Of course, the excellent performance of the sound engineer Gustavo Castro and the cameraman Marcos Biavaschi are valued, who ensured a perfect record.
Needless to say: very grateful to Channel 5 for sharing their studio as a location.
To sum up, not only was it worth the dizzying exercise in itself, but I also got to work with new actors.
In addition to this, I got a nice recognition as “best director”.
And, as if that were not enough, we gave birth to a new short film.
