SYNOPSIS
When Artificial Crash begins exposing public and private secrets, the world descends into crisis. It is not just a website that reveals everything that has ever passed through the internet: it is impossible to shut down. The trust that holds society together begins to fracture, violence spreads, and governments are forced to respond.
For Denis Lombardi, a documentary filmmaker seeking funding for a film of his own, the chaos presents an opportunity. Convinced it will be a brief, lucrative assignment, he agrees to take charge of programming at the state-run television channel to help contain the crisis. But Artificial Crash could also make Denis the next headline—and bring down everything he thought was safe.
TO KNOW OR NOT TO KNOW
How many secrets do we keep?
How many would we rather hide even from our own memories?
And how many do we not know about the people we claim to know?
Perhaps too many.
More than we would dare to believe.
This story imagines a website that puts those secrets within anyone’s reach—even those so heavy that memory itself can barely bear them.

FROM THE WRITER
I chose to set much of the story in a television station because I know that world firsthand. For years, I worked at production companies and TV channels, on entertainment, opinion, and news programs. There, I saw how decisions made behind the scenes shape what a society understands about what is happening.
Denis is the one who makes this crisis personal. He arrives at the station as an ambitious man, but the scale of events pushes him to take risks for others. I do not want to turn him into a flawless hero: I am interested in someone who, without thinking of himself as heroic, begins to act like one while still pursuing his own goals.
In this story, I ask what remains of trust when everything can be known, and what emerges from us when we can no longer control how others see us.
